The British Army has been named the UK’s premier employer in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers awards.

The scheme assesses organisations from the public and private sector and the Service was recognised for helping more than 8,000 apprentices gain new skills in 2019/20.

More than 90% of new soldiers take up the offer of an apprenticeship.

The programme has expanded to provide more varied opportunities and now offers degree apprenticeships in business leadership and management.
