Did you know that obstacle course racing (OCR) has become so popular in the United States of America (USA), that on 14 April 2017, Umpqua Community College’s (UCC) Department of Athletics signed William Turner and Andrew Paschall for the UCC’s Obstacle Course Racing programme, becoming the first two scholarship athletes of their kind in the USA (UCC, 2017).
In August 2017, it was reported that “5 million people in 40 countries take part in events each year.” (Bailey, 2017).
