Interlude: War or Peace?

“I don’t know whether war is an interlude during peace, or peace is an interlude during war.”

Georges Clemenceau (1841 to 1929)

Georges Clemenceau, byname The Tiger, French Le Tigre, was a statesman and journalist who was a dominant figure in the French Third Republic and, as premier (1917-20), a major contributor to the Allied victory in World War I and a framer of the post-war Treaty of Versailles.
