Outcomes Based Training and Education: in the Department of Military Instruction, United States Military Academy.

Abstract

This paper examines the training approached called Outcomes Based Training and Education (OBT&E) and how it is being used in the United States Military Academy (USMA, aka West Point) and the results of OBT&E in the Academy.

Since the start of the Global war on terrorism, US military leaders are facing an ever adapting and knowledgeable enemy force. Current US military leaders must train future US military leaders to think and adapt to the changes that they will face.
