Trials of kit that allows troops to compare their performance in training took place in Sennelager last month.
The MyMimir system will be tested by around 30 soldiers from 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh during Exercise Tallinn Dawn – part of their preparations for Operation Cabrit.
Named after a ﬁgure from Norse mythology, the tool is similar to running app Strava in that it lets users track progress, as well as encouraging friendly competition.
It is an individualised version of Mimir – software already in use that gathers data on how units perform during
