Army Reserve Musicians’ Retirement Age Increased

The retirement age for Army Reserve musicians has been increased to bring it in line with the rest of the Corps of Army Music.

Soldiers and officers can now serve until the day before they turn 65 without the need for an overage extension request.

Previously, they could only serve until they were 55 and 60 respectively.
