Mediterranean Diet Given Unesco Status in Seven Countries

The Mediterranean diet has been given heritage status in Portugal, Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, Morocco, Italy, and Greece after the eighth session of Unesco’s Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Baku, Azerbaijan. Italy, Spain, Greece, and Morocco have had the status since 2010.
