Boot camps were brought to the UK by Robin Cope, a retired British Army officer, in 1999 “as an alternative form of group training to gyms” (BMF, 2012). However, Wikipedia suggests that the fitness boot camp concept did not reach our shores until 2005 (Wikipedia, 2012).
Wikipedia usually so right, but on this occasion so wrong.

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and
engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the
nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough men and women
are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.
