Service families will get free childcare for kids aged between four (4) and eleven (11), the Ministry of Defence has announced.

The scheme covers so-called ‘wraparound’ care – which takes place before and after school hours – during term time.

Royal Air Force personnel will trial the new offer from September, followed
by Catterick and Plymouth-based troops in January 2021.

Details of the wider roll-out will also be published next year.
