What is The Forces March?

The Forces March is a recreation of the an epic 135 mile World War 2 training march from Ilfracombe to Bulford.

The march, which took place in 1942, was undertaken by men who would go on to spearhead the entire D-Day operations with the assault on Pegasus Bridge.

The march is open to teams and individuals:

  • Civilians;
  • Serving military;
  • Emergency services;
  • Corporate;
  • Runners;
  • Walkers; and
  • Relay entries (split each day between the team).

The Forces March is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020, when the march will take between 20th and 24th May.
