What is the Number of Black (African) Officers in the Royal Navy?

On 01 October 2018, the number of officers that had been commissioned into the Royal Navy (RN) and Royal Marines (RM) as regular officers with a Black (African) ethnicity was 10 (rounded).

Between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2018, the number of officers that had been commissioned into the RN and RM as regular officers with a Black (African) ethnicity was 10 (rounded).

On 01 October 2018, the number of RN/RM trained regular pilots and maintenance test pilots with a Black (African) ethnicity was five or less.

Between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2018, the number of RN/RM regular pilots and maintenance test pilots, who completed training, with a Black (African) ethnicity was five or less.

These officers flew either the Lynx or Wildcat aircraft.
