The Air Platform Systems (APS) Project Team, part of the Air Support Operating Centre, is responsible for the development, procurement and in-service support of a range of systems and
equipment. The main areas covered are:

1. Targeting and Mission Systems (Electro-optic Targeting, Mission Planning and Support Systems);
2. Global Positioning Systems (UK GPS Project Office and Navigational Warfare);
3. Platform Protection Systems (Electronic Warfare and Defensive Aid Suites); and
4. Identification Equipment (SIFF, Mode S and Mode 5).
