Notes

1. Entrants are defined as those applicants who have passed AIB, been selected for entry and have started Phase 1 training.
2. Percentages based on the number of applicants for TMO in a given year who go on to be commissioned. They might not, however, be commissioned in the same year that they applied.
3. Not all of those who applied in 2015-2016 had yet been processed for entry, so the number shown is not final.
4. Although the number of applicants had increased significantly over the period 2011 to 2016, the number of available places had not. It had increased by 5 over the 5-year period, hence the fall in the percentage of applicants achieving a commission.
