- Created by Adventurey, LLC, in 2014 the OCR World Championships is the first and only independent championship event in OCR, and requires athletes to qualify for a limited number of spots through a network of qualifying events.
- Officially known as the FISO OCR World Championships, and previously as the OCR World Series.
- Events include: 3 km (Sprint); 15 km (Standard); and 24-hour Enduro.
- Usually held in August each year.

- Primal Quest Pursuit is official Expedition OCR World Championship.
- Mixed and single gender teams of 2, 3 and 4.
- Distance covered is approximately 300 km, although there is usually a short course option.
- Winning time is anticipated at 4-5 days, with up to 10 days to finish.
- Usually held in September each year.
