Flexible Service, effective from 01 April 2019, allows Regular service personnel to:
- Seek temporary and defined periods of part-time work (a reduction of 20% or 40%); and/or
- To restrict their separation (lower rate of X-Factor).
Periods of flexible service will have an impact on pension benefits.
- The minimum period you can select is three months (unless you are entering a previous period of flexible service that was suspended or ended, creating an overall duration of less than three months); and
- A maximum of 3 years.
